Physical and chemical properties:
Pure product is a white crystal, m.p. 90-91℃.Technical product, m.p. 70-80℃, d4201.35. Soluble in water and polar solvents such as methanol, ethanol, acetone and dichloromethane, dichloroethane and so on, slightly soluble in xylene , and ether. It is stable in acidic medium, however, it hydrolyzes easily in alkaline solution.
Toxicity:
Acute oral LD50 of technical product to rats is 945 mg/kg, acute dermal LD50 to mouse is 714 mg/kg, acute dermal LD50 to rabbits is 2000mg/kg. No records of teratogenicity, metagenicity, carcinogenicity and chronic toxicity. To fish, animal, bird, it's low toxic.
